How to Maximize a Car's Gas Mileage

As oil is constantly increasing on the world market, so as the fuel that our car use, high cost of fuel constantly ripping off our pocket and we have no choice but to accept what this giant fuel company is pricing us for the fuel that our car is used.

Car manufacturer is gearing up towards the development of a car that is not just environment friendly but also fuel efficient. However, even if we have fuel efficient car still we cannot maximize the mileage provided by every liter of gas that we filled our car unless we considers the proper driving habits.

Yes we can maximize our car mileage per liter of fuel depending on the way we used our car.

Tips that can help save gas and maximize fuel mileage

1. First thing first, you must have a constant maintenance on your vehicle have it serviced on regular intervals from your car dealer for proper tune-ups.

2. Always maintain the tire pressure that is recommended by your car manufacturer.

3. While on park waiting for someone, turn off your car engine, because fuel is consumed during idle but your car is not moving from one place to another.

4. Avoid driving your car in sudden acceleration and sudden braking when stopping, this may not only saves you fuel but also maximize the life of your car tires.

5. Avoid clutch driving, don’t rest your foot on the clutch as it will not only reduce your mile age but also reduce the life of your clutch.

6. When your car is in cruising speed, step on the gas pedal just enough and not rest your foot on the pedal to avoid unnecessary burning of fuel.

7. When driving at cruising speed try to maintain within the speed of 70 to 80 kph, as this is the economical speed range.

8. Lastly, shifting at higher gear on a lower speed can also help improve your mile age.

Fuel will continuously increase and we cannot do anything to stop it, instead we can only

maximize the fuel that our car consumes on our everyday use.

Maximize your grocery budget

Are you tired of budgeting and already stressed with your expenses specially with your groceries? Here are some tips which might help you to maximize your budget for groceries.

- Make a grocery list. Consider first those items which you really need and plan ahead what's your menu for the week. Follow your lists and it will prevent you on buying unnecessary things

- Figure out the amount of foods to buy. Don't shop in excess.

- Check the expiration date and label. Usually the newly delivered items are the one at the back of the shelf.

- Cheaper items are located at the bottom shelf. Of course, the grocery store wants you to maximize their profit so they placed the expensive ones at eye level.

- Making healthy choice when shopping.

- Compare similar items basing from their price, taste and quality.

- Buy in bulk. This will avoid frequent drives to grocery stores and will let you save your gas. Also this will minimize the so called "weighing scale" error. For example if 1 kg of meat has an error of  5g and if you bought 5 kgs in total on separate instances, then you got 25g lesser. Unlike if you bought the 5 kgs in just one buying, then it's only 5g lesser.

- Check for sales. Get some flyers and coupons so you would be updated. If possible use your point cards.

- It's better to buy your groceries from warehouse clubs which are more cheaper compared from retail/distributor stores.

- Don't bring your children when you are shopping! Funny but it's true. Toys, candies and kid stuffs are the most eye-catching items in the grocery or shopping malls.

- Keep a mindset that you need to save. If you get tempted on buying something that you want, think first if you have an extra budget. Remember the equation "Expenses=Income-Savings" not "Savings=Income-Expenses".

- Taste Testing in a store (when it's possible)

- Lastly, if you want to save, don't go to the section where do you think you will get tempted to buy that unnecessary item.

Maximize Internet Usage for Savings

Broadband internet connection is already available anywhere from your home, office, malls, coffee shops and even during your travel. Today I will share some good tips on how to maximize your internet usage since I believe most of you guys pay it on monthly basis regardless if you fully utilized the bandwidth or not. This will give us somehow some options to cut some of our utility bills and use the internet instead.

You may consider using your internet to make VOIP calls. There are several free-softwares available online (Skype, Live Messenger or Paltalk) which you may use to make calls specially for long-distance. Here you can save easily $20 and you don't need to worry those phone bills which always add to your monthly headaches.

Another option as well is to cut your cable TV subscription and use live streaming via internet instead such as Ustream, Hulu and Squid TV. There are lots of online TV streaming sites and sometimes it comes in bundle together with your internet connections.

You can also do everything in the internet. You can read newspaper online, pay your bills online, save on stamps and use your email instead, book your flights, hotel accommodations which sometimes offer you some discounts. Shopping online is also convenient if you're really a busy person and you just want for your grocery or items be delivered on your home.
